4 ½ room apartment

Sustainable living in Riehen gets a new face: after 54 years, the former Dominikushaus nursing home is being transformed into a forward-looking residential project by Wohnstadt – together with the winners Salathé Architekten, who emerged from a design competition.

The project «DOMINO» Riehen stands for upcycling in architecture, lived circular economy, and high living quality in the Basel region. The re-use concept – the targeted reuse of the building structure and numerous components – is a central part of the construction project and has been consistently implemented. It underlines the sustainable ambition that characterizes the project and makes an active contribution to climate and resource protection.

In addition to this 4.5-room apartment, other comfortable apartments were created in the «DOMINO» project in Riehen. The apartment offers a well-thought-out floor plan, a sustainable concept, and high living comfort. The carefully modernized architecture creates space for individual lifestyle concepts – close to nature, quiet, and well-connected.
