We, Jaap (34), Iva (22), Alex (24) and Alessandro (31) live together in a large house near Basel over the border in France (in Neuweiler). We are people with diverse interests; we enjoy making music, crafting, baking sourdough bread, walking, painting, cooking, reading, chilling and much more. We very much enjoy living together, and conscious co-living and taking care of the house together is important to us. We most often meet during shared meals, cozy moments in the living room or spontaneous joint activities. Some of us are studying, others are more or less firmly established in professional life. Since some of us do not speak German very well, English is often spoken here.
We have many common rooms. An attic serves as a guest room and other things, then there is also a music and work room, a living room, a dining room, a garden, two garages and a workshop.
We have two vacant rooms. One from now or by arrangement. The other from New Year.
The room that is already available has morning sun and stands under an apple tree. Since the room was previously divided, it has a wall approx. 1 m wide that acts like a small room divider, which can be used for a cozy corner or also with a curtain as a storage space … We all pay the same amount of rent. The rent is 480 €. The room is on the second floor, therefore one has a bit of a view.
The room, which is free from the new year, is also on the second floor and oriented towards the morning sun. It has two windows and is somewhat larger. Also like the other room, it has a beautiful wooden floor. The rent here is, as already mentioned, 480 €.
Important: Neuwiller lies directly behind the border to Allschwil, meaning, in France. (But don't worry, you don't necessarily have to emigrate or do anything else complicated in order to be able to live here.)
It is about seven kilometers from Basel center (20-30 minutes by bicycle). The village is not connected to public transport, it is 30 walking minutes to the nearest bus station. Alternatively, one can also hitchhike to Allschwil, that works well.
Do you feel like living with us? Write to us and feel free to tell us a bit about yourself.
